The artist talk from W Project was an incredibly interesting one where we discovered about the founders thoughts on gender equality within the arts, how they explore the importance of emphasising the positives of a person, and how hearing these inspiring stories can give strength to a younger generation of women.

The W Project, as part of #UnderCurrent in The Tanks starts TODAY on Monday 27th August 2012
Launched in 2011 by Teo Connor and Loren Platt on the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, the W Project celebrates women working across the creative industries through a lively mixture of events and activities. We aim to promote empowering role-models and help build a better creative community for the future.

The W Project will be taking part in UnderCurrent on Monday the 27th of August 2012 between 11.00 – 17.00. At The Tanks, Tate Modern. The W Project celebrates women working in the creative industries with the aim of promoting empowering role-models and building a better creative community for the future. As part of UnderCurrent they present a programme of projections, audio, screenings and workshops for 15 to 25 year olds. As well as this The W Project will also be taking part in the UnderCurrent artist talks series on August 27th.
