We get an exclusive preview of The Tate Moderns new collaborative performance described as ‘an audio visual celebration of the city’s young heart’, we caught up with two of the creatives taking part.
VONDELPARK, SLIME AND YOUTH ORCHESTRA REHEARSE ‘A CITY SYMPHONIC’ Slime and Vondelpark collaborated with specially formed youth orchestra. ISYS and NTS joined forces to create a one-off music performance at London’s Tate Tanks as part of Undercurrent.
‘Paved with Gold / A City Symphonic’ took place on Friday, August 24th with live performances, film screenings and a recorded audio track, all unearthing a day in the life of London.
The full line up of artists on the night was Slime, Vondelpark, My Panda Shall Fly, Dark Sky, RPBLC of Many Voices, James Massiah and CKTRL.

ISYS Archive will be taking part in UnderCurrent on Friday the 24th of August 2012, between 19.00 – 21.30 with City Symphonic at The Tanks, Tate Modern. A free event for 15 to 25 year olds. Having taken to the streets of London to film young people throughout the Olympics, ISYS will be working alongsideNTS Radio, who’ll be curating a programme of music for the night from their network of musicians and collaborators. Booking will be required.

ISYS Archive radio on NTS Live, interviewing Terry Farley, a DJ who has been involved in pretty much every London youth culture movement since the 1970s, 20/7/2012.
